3 Easy Tips To Write Better Copy-min
Writing – you either hate it or love it. There is not often an in-between. However, if you are an entrepreneur or small business owner writing your own content has to happen for marketing purposes until you have the budget for someone to do it for you. Unless you actually like it of course!
No matter if you are a passionate writer, or writing a social media caption already seems like a huge chore for you: these three tips can guide you in writing better copy for your brand’s audience.

1) Feel the Flow

Too often we force ourselves to be creative at a moment in time that we scheduled in our calendars. But creativity rarely works great under pressure. Rather the opposite is the case and we get blocked in our minds. The famous writer’s block happens to the best and is nothing to be ashamed of. The best way to escape it is to feel when you are motivated to write. This could momentarily mean you have to drop everything else to write that Instagram caption, or  blog post.  At first, this might feel inefficient but it will lead to better results eventually. So, next time when you recognise you feel in a flow to write, surrender to it and throw yourself in front of your keyboard.

2) Keep a structure

A structure helps you to not lose yourself in chaos while writing – especially for longer, more complex pieces of text. The rule of thumb here is to always start with an introduction that explains what the following text is about without telling too many details, followed by the middle part, and ended with a conclusion. For social media posts, newsletters and if suitable also blog posts: always end with a CTA!

3) Stay Personal

Humans love stories! When writing copy it helps to stick to your own experiences (backed with facts if necessary). Share your stories with your audience and it will make them feel connected to you. Copy that sounds like it comes from a human feels much more relatable and is more likely to be trusted. So, even if you want to use AI (again, no shame in that) always reread and rewrite it so it has a human touch to it.
